How colour is made
From loose pigment to a part you can hold.
- 01 · Pigment
It starts as dry powder
Organic and inorganic pigments are selected for the PU system they will live in, because heat stability, migration and light-fastness differ by chemistry. Every lot is checked for tinting strength before it goes into a batch.
- 02 · Mill
Dispersed until it stays dispersed
Pigment is wetted into a polyol-compatible carrier and dispersed in-house across our 2 Bhiwadi plants. A poor grind shows later as specks, streaks and settling, so grind fineness and viscosity are checked before release.
- 03 · Lab
Matched in your own PU system
Your swatch is matched in the colour laboratory and cast in your system, not a generic one, because the same pigment reads differently in flexible foam, microcellular sole or cast elastomer. You approve a plaque; we retain the standard.
- 04 · Finished part
The same shade, every batch
Repeat orders are checked against the retained standard, so the colour that left your first trial is the colour on your hundredth pour. Pick a shade to see it on a foam block.
